Photo Restoration and retouching can be performed on new or old photographs. New photographs can be retouched to perfect a look, or alter the final outcome of the image. An older photograph can be retouched to enhance fading color.

Retouching can include the removing of blemishes, pimples and small objects from photos, or to enhance color, skin tones and consistency, to changing color within an image.

Restoration can cover a wide selection of items such as removal of backgrounds and people, to opening eyes, and filling in hair on a balding head. Some images may need repair due to sun damage, and discoloration, to bends or tears in a photograph. The changes are almost limitless, though can not always be performed on every image to perfection.

Some images are considered non repairable due to excessive damage. If a face is obliterated on a photo the only way to repair it is to use another photograph to "lend" a face so to speak. All images need to be seen to give an accurate quote of the potential work involved in photo restoration and retouching.
